AuI took three years and a lifetime of experience to write. But the ideas at its core are simple: you are not obsolete. Your mind, your judgment, your creativity, your empathy — these are not threatened by AI. They are needed more than ever.

What is threatened is complacency. The idea that you can simply ignore AI and it will leave you alone. It won't. It is already inside your world — and the only question is whether you will understand it well enough to navigate it on your own terms.

That is what AuI gives you. Not just information — a framework. A way of thinking about AI that stays relevant even as the tools change faster than any book can track.

If AuI changes even one thing about how you think about AI — one question you now ask that you didn't before, one tool you now use with more intention, one conversation you feel equipped to have — then it has done its job.
